We live a hyperconnected existence, but magazines defy the trend, rallying a vast audience. In 2023, 7 out of 10 Quebecers read paper or digital magazines.

In a world where we walk to the beat of social media, magazines help us slow things down and take a step back. And that’s just what Quebecers want: 67% of magazine lovers feel it gives them a chance to relax. In fact, print remains king of relaxation, enjoyed by 42% of readers, who oftentimes buy magazines on impulse, as a gift to themselves.

Inspiring, credible content
Beyond the format, the success of magazines lies in their enhanced content and the trust they inspire. In fact, 6 out of 10 Quebecers deem magazines to be reliable and relevant, and more than half of them feel they are a top-quality source of information, more elaborate than online media.

The many powers of magazines
In addition to generating an optimal level of attention, magazines stand out for their reach, in time, both in the home and online. Thus, 43% of Quebecers regularly check magazines’ social media accounts and websites.
